VeloCraft Wood Grinding Disc for Angle Grinder

Grinding discs clog after twenty minutes – and the project is still waiting for its first cut.

Anyone who wants to shape wood with flap discs or sandpaper knows the result: the disc clogs, the material heats up, and after a short time you keep turning without anything happening. The VeloCraft wood shaping disc transforms a standard 125 mm angle grinder into a cutting tool that cleanly removes hardwood, pine, and bark – without clogging, without heat buildup. The perforated carbon steel teeth bite into the wood, the open channels immediately eject chips, and the curved disc shape glides through curves and contours as if there were no resistance.

Advantages

• No more repurchasing worn grinding discs: Those who previously had to buy new flap discs every few projects can work with this carbon steel disc through bowls, chair spindles, and root work – a single tool replaces an entire drawer full of sandpaper.
• No stopping to free the disc: The hollow teeth immediately throw wood chips and sawdust backward, so you don't have to stop the machine every two minutes to clean the disc – the project progresses until it’s finished.
• No shaking at the handle due to catching on branches or grain patterns: The curved disc shape prevents the grinder from being jerked out of the hand when passing over knots – you keep control without readjusting or catching the machine.

Usage

1. Mount: Slide the disc onto the 22 mm spindle of the angle grinder and tighten the nut by hand – the 125 mm disc fits any standard 5-inch grinder.
2. Start: Turn on the grinder and allow it to reach full speed before the disc touches the wood; then guide the curved surface at a shallow angle to the grain – the teeth do the work.
3. Shape: Roll the disc through curves, edges, and hollows; chips immediately fall off, the cut remains sharp, and the shape forms in minutes instead of hours.

Pro tip: For green or resin-rich wood, reduce pressure and brush the disc teeth with a wire brush after each session – this keeps cutting performance consistently high over many projects.
